Utilization of Annona senegalensis as a Sorbent for THE Removal of Crude Oil from Aqueous Media

In the present study, efficiency of Annona senegalensis fiber to remove crude oil from aqueous solution was evaluated. The (CAS), retted (RAS) and bleach (PFAS) were subjected sorption studies optimize their capacity. results revealed that sorbent water is related weight, contact time, initial concentration temperature sorption. It found out increase in weight led capacity 3.99-5.25g/g, 5.51-7.12g/g, 5.01-6.72g/g CAS, RAS PFAS respectively. Increased Initial also increased by 20-21% until it reach equilibrium. Sorption time varied 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 70 minutes highest recorded at 30 before a gradual decreased observed. with above 400C. exhibited good reusability after 8 cycles, less than 50 % reduction kinetics onto follow second- order model correlation coefficients higher 0.99. obtained adsorption can be used as an effective adsorbent spill cleanup bodies.
